Focal Point Cinema Seat Installation

Focal Point Cinema in Palmerston North, is part of the Focal Point Cinema group, and offers a unique, gold class cinema experience. Alloyfold installed 138 leather Tchaikovsky cinema seats into the four screen multiplex, adding to the luxury and boutique feel of the cinema. The Tchaikovsky was chosen with liftable armrests, giving the option to have either single seats or a two seater couch. Focal Point is changing the boundaries of the traditional cinema, and creating a more upmarket experience. It has a fully licensed cafe serving food & drinks all day - a wooden tablet was added on to the armrests of the Tchaikovsky, making it easy to enjoy food & drink during the movie. 

Melbourne University Melba Hall

Renowned for the finest acoustics for chamber music in Melbourne, Melba Hall is located in the Conservatorium Building at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Melba Hall houses two of the finest Concert Steinways in Melbourne, and is a highly sought after venue for solo recitals and for professional recordings.

Australian Broadcasting Centre theatre

Alloyfold installed 266 Recital chairs into the ABC theatre. They chose the Recital theatre chair because it met the acoustic requirements without any modifications needing to be made. All of the boxes were ticked, while staying within their project budget.

Weta Digital screening room

Alloyfold Effuzi installed 36 Viva theatre chairs into the Weta Digital Screening Room. This is part of Wingnut Films, a New Zealand production company based in Wellington. They are notable for their production and collaboration with well known filmmaker, Peter Jackson. The room is used for a variety of purposes, including reviewing and editing film clips as well as the screening of documentaries and behind the scenes videos. The Viva was chosen for it's comfort, slim profile and square design.

Dunedin Town Hall

Alloyfold installed 902 Viva auditorium chairs into Dunedin Town Hall. Upholstered in black leatherette with mahogany arms, these chairs are stylish and comply with the aesthetics and the heritage of the building. These chairs were chosen because of their ability to work in curved rows, as well as fulfill the acoustic requirement.

Christchurch hospital

With her young son in hospital, and no suitable sleeping arrangements during her stay, a local Christchurch mother grew determined to bring better options to Christchurch Hospital for parents like her, who refused to leave their child’s side.  She hatched the Fundraiser for 12 Chairs for the Children’s Ward, a partnership with Māia Health Foundation, dedicated to bringing a dozen sleep-worthy recliner chairs to the high dependency children’s ward.  The medical recliners had to have antimicrobial fabric and components to meet the hygiene standards of a hospital environment and be easy to maneuver and operate.

The Christchurch Justice & Emergency Precinct brings together all justice and emergency services in a purpose built, leading edge precinct in central Christchurch. It is the largest multi-agency government co-location project in New Zealand's history and the first major public building to be built in Christchurch by the government, since the earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. Within this building, Alloyfold Effuzi installed 60 Adino chairs into the 5 courtrooms. These have been the preferred Ministry of Justice chairs for the past 20 years.

Palace Nova Prospect cinema

Alloyfold installed 565 black leather Phatt cinema seats and 98 black Mojo seats into Prospect Cinema in Australia. These seats are perfect for the luxurious and boutique feel of the cinema and tray tables between each seat are practical. The Grandstand at Claudelands Event Centre is a well known function space with an authentic heritage setting. When the Grandstand was recently in need of refurbishing, the H3 Group managing the venue sourced Alloyfold’s rustic range of wooden furniture to fit out their new look venue. 100 of our wooden vintage crossback chairs and 12 rustic tables created the french vintage look that works really well in contrast to the modern elements of the room.

Alloyfold supplied MUX Events with Bella & Chiavari chairs (also known as the Tiffany chair). These party and event chairs are classic, and look great with MUX creative event styling.  Mux purchased our Chiavari chairs with a cushion which can be added or removed from the chair easily depending on the style of the event.

Tom Mantyla explains why he bought Alloyfold chairs again

"I have chosen to purchase more of the Alloyfold simply because they make the most financial sense. During the lifetime of chairs in my inventory, FAR MORE money is spent handling and cleaning than is spent to acquire them. The Alloyfold chair is probably the BEST example of this in my entire line of rental products: It costs twice as much as what would APPEAR to be the SAME thing. If the chairs were to sit on display, never be moved, or otherwise not be used as frequently, I probably WOULD buy a less costly model. But when the handling aspect is considered, the Alloyfold actually SAVES me far more than the cost differential. First of all, the chair is lighter; this translates into less physical impact to staff who must lift them. Additionally, the impact to delivery vehicles is less because the suspension, tires, brakes are less stressed. I can recall years ago seeing one of our trucks fully loaded with steel frame chairs and wondering if the tires might rub the bottom of the cargo box as it travelled down the road! Secondly, the chair is much easier to keep the appearance "fresh and new". We use the chair wash machine and have NO WORRIES of rust on the frames. The brushed anodized finish is very forgiving to incidental scratches and marks that are inevitable with constant handling. A periodic detailing with polishing compound will remove almost all of these surface scratches. Even though this chair happens to be the "economy rental price" of all the chair styles we offer, clients DO notice and appreciate the consistent quality of appearance. Lastly, the chair has proven to be extremely durable, which means it has a longer life expectancy. Any piece of equipment that can DO ALL THAT is a winner in my book. And naturally I have put "my money where my mouth is" by ordering a 40' container full for delivery this spring!" We were thrilled to get this email from Tom Mantyla from Baker Party Rentals. Hi, Chair-men here Have you ever been thinking about purchasing something and in the time leading up to your purchase notice that thing EVERYWHERE you look? My family always laugh at me and perhaps with a hint of despair. I have this thing you see, I can’t go anywhere without noticing chairs, taking photos of them and drooling over new sleek lines or styling. Alloyfold generates funding for Pathway Charitable Group, a charitable trust that supports disadvantaged and needy people in our community. Salvation Army - Timaru

The Salvation Army in Timaru purchased 150 Alloyfold Church Chairs for their chapel. The chairs arrived just in time for Christmas services and events. The church chose to add on bookracks which make it easy to store bibles and other books. The chairs look great and are easy to move and stack, making them ideal for multiple seating situations. The church also chose to purchase extra fabric to cover their piano seat and kneelers the same as the chairs. This creates a cohesive and stylish look in the church.

Central Energy Trust Arena Manawatu is a purpose built indoor sports and entertainment venue.  The stadium can accommodate up to 5,000 spectators.  Alloyfold and Effuzi were awarded the tender to work with venue managers Palmerston North City Council to install 2,340 Box Seat 901 stadium seats over 6 Axor Retractable units.  The telescopic units are motorised with semi automatic retractable systems.  The largest unit installed is 19 tiers high and 31 metres long.  The Alloyfold Effuzi team worked to a tight schedule to supply and deliver this impressive stadium.

Alloyfold NZ Completes Quake Cleanup

More than a month after a massive earthquake struck New Zealand, those at Alloyfold headquarters in Christchurch say business is just about back to normal. However, outside business walls, cleanup and aftershocks continue. On Sept. 3, the city was struck by a 7.1 magnitude earthquake that caused widespread devastation to buildings and homes across the Canterbury region with no loss of life. The earthquake occurred at 4:35 p.m. local time in New Zealand, with an epicenter about 30 mi., or 45 km, away from Christchurch, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The most recent earthquake prior to this was in June 1994. When arriving at work after the quake, Alloyfold staff members were met with a chaotic scene as most of the 20-ft. high warehouse racking had toppled in a domino effect leaving stock and equipment scattered in a huge pile of debris that was both a daunting and dangerous prospect to rectify. Staff members have worked around the clock to complete the cleanup of the company’s main warehouse facility and get the business fully operational once again. Murray Kennedy, Managing Director, said the staff members have been incredible. “Within a week we had new racking up and stock reorganized, and we can now function almost normally again. We have a really great bunch of people here.” Other businesses and homes in the city didn’t fare so well. There are some 350 properties being declared uninhabitable and some areas were without power and clean water for almost a week. Aftershocks continue to shake the city. The quake caused damage to some rural towns closer to the epicentre, as well as the central city and suburbs. Damaged areas included buildings and roads, many of which are now demolished. “It’s been sad for some people to lose their businesses, homes, sewage systems, etc., but thankfully nobody died which is rather amazing,” Kennedy says. “During that first week, everyone was in shock that we had survived a magnitude 7.1 earthquake — the same magnitude as the Haiti earthquake — and with no loss of life.” An associate ARA member for the past ten years, Alloyfold supplies the rental industry with its unique aluminum folding chairs. “We’d like to thank customers for your patience with us over the past couple of weeks, and assure you that it won't be long till we’re fully operational again,” Kennedy said.

It was the discovery in 2012 that their property was required by Auckland Transport for a roading project that took Life Central on an incredible 6 year journey.  That journey led them to a large central city warehouse site where they embarked on a huge renovation/construction project with the goal to create a new church space that would set them up for generations to come.  In late 2018 Alloyfold had the pleasure of supplying and installing 1,395 Debussy Auditorium chairs to this incredible project.

The Distinction Hotels group own and manage eleven luxury properties under the Distinction Hotels brand in New Zealand. One of their hotels is the 1937 former Chief Post Office in Dunedin which has been transformed into an elegant 4.5 star hotel located in the heart of the city. In 2020, Pettigrew Family Funerals finished their new head office in New South Wales. The project took 4 years to complete, and was started in honour of the family's late father. He wanted to be able to offer families a large and beautiful facility to remember and celebrate their loved ones. The project was inspired by this wish, and is now the largest funeral facility in New Zealand & Australia.

City Impact church

Town Hall cinemas

The Rangiora Town Hall Cinemas in Canterbury, New Zealand were originally built in 1926 and the main hall had the first cinema screen to open in Canterbury. Seating 600, the  theatre was designed for both moving pictures, and live performances and in the following years, the cinemas underwent many alterations including, most recently in 2014, a post-earthquake upgrade and refurbishment.

Feilding health centre

Alloyfold installed 175 Trilogy convention seats into the Feilding Health Centre. Padded seats and backs were chosen to give extra comfort and a colourful, bright atmosphere to the waiting room.

Salvation Army HQ - Gracefields

The Salvation Army (Gracefields) in Christchurch, New Zealand celebrated the much awaited opening of their new HQ citadel in 2017. 355 Alloyfold Church Chairs with enclosed backs were purchased and placed in this state of the art building.

Middleton Grange school

In 2011 Alloyfold won the contract for this 305 seat, performing arts theatre in which the riser mounted Mozart seats were installed. Riser mounting offered the advantage of no standards beneath the seats for unobstructed cleaning, and it suited Middleton Grange's smaller space without compromising on comfort.

Griffith airport

In 2013, Alloyfold supplied new waiting seating to the Griffith City Council, NSW, Australia as part of the airport refurbishment project. After successfully completing the quote and sample process, Alloyfold supplied the project with over 100 Chopin beam- mounted waiting seats.

Cineplex Redbank Plaza

Cineplex Redbank Plaza in Brisbane, wanted to provide comfortable and luxurious seating in their Gold Class theatre refurbishment. They also required the seats to withstand the rigours of their client base.

Neuma church

Neuma Church in Melbourne, Australia installed a mix of Alloyfold Church Chairs and Beethoven auditorium seats in their new auditorium as well as Alloyfold Trilogy chairs in their café as part of their church refurbishment.

Kauri healthcare

Greenfields Albert park

Greenfields Albert Park, Victoria, Australia, fitted out their new country club with the Alloyfold Bentwood bistro chair. 

The Court theatre

The new Court Theatre opened in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2012 after the previous Arts Centre facility was  damaged in the historic February earthquake. Although the old location in the Arts Centre was rich in character, the new $4.6 million theatre is bigger and brighter with more comfortable seats. Alloyfold installed 394 Mozart seats and in support of the Court Theatre offered to install them at no cost. Pathway installers worked overtime to get the seats ready for the much anticipated grand opening.

Northland pathology

Northland Pathology in Kerikeri, New Zealand, required five beams of waiting seating for their Northland collection centre. The 30 Schumann waiting seats were supplied by Alloyfold as an upgrade to the centre's waiting area providing a modern and hygienic seating solution.

Odeon Star cinemas

Odeon Star Semaphore Cinemas installed over 550 Alloyfold Schubert cinema seats with two back height options into their movie theatre in South Australia.

Nike New Zealand

Nike in Auckland. New Zealand, needed to furnish their training and presentation room with chairs that were comfortable and easy to move. They chose to purchase 60 Alloyfold Trilogy chairs.

Church of Christ

Alloyfold recently installed 260 Church Chairs in the Church of Christ, Manurewa, New Zealand.

Wesley conference centre

Alloyfold won the contract to supply 880 auditorium seats to the Wesley Mission Conference Centre, Sydney, Australia in 2015. After supplying samples and meeting with the venue project managers, Alloyfold's Beethoven theatre and auditorium seat was chosen for its comfort and style.  The Beethoven was customised to include writing tablets, row letters and Ecoglo aisle numbers. The Centre also required three rows of removable beam mounted seating to match the curve of the fixed, riser mounted seating.

Gladstone airport

When Gladstone Airport, Australia expanded in 2011 they needed robust, long lasting, and easy-to- clean public seating. They approached Alloyfold and chose 300 Schumann waiting seats with a stylish chrome finish and vinyl upholstery.

Papanui Methodist church

Papanui Methodist Church in Christchurch, New Zealand purchased 250 Alloyfold Church Chairs for their new-look church worship area in a recent refurbishment. The church worked with an architect on the project and lay new carpet along with replacing older pews with Alloyfold's padded Church Chairs.

Palace Nova cinemas

Palace Nova Cinemas in Adelaide, Australia installed Alloyfold Cinema Seats into their new theatres as part of an expansion project in early 2017. The cinema chose 411 Alloyfold Mojo & Phatt cinema seats finished in vinyl and leather for a sleek and luxurious look.  The brief for the 8 new theatres was to create a boutique feel to fit in with the cinema complex. The Alloyfold cinema seats were chosen due to their wide, comfortable profile and their design aesthetic.

Harbourside Christian church

Harbourside Church in Auckland, New Zealand had seen Alloyfold's Mozart Venue seat installed at the nearby City Impact Church. Impressed by the quality and versatility of the seat, Harbourside Church contracted Alloyfold to provide the 1200 seats for their newly refurbished building.

Lido cinema

Alloyfold installed the cinema seating in the iconic Lido Cinemas in Hawthorn, Australia, for 8 brand-new indoor theatres in 2015. The cinema design was to be vibrant and boutique with each of the cinemas individually designed. The Effuzi Mojo cinema seat was chosen for its ultimate comfort as well as its ability to blend well in this modern, yet historic building.

Church Unlimited

Church Unlimited is a vibrant, multi-cultural church located in the heart of West Auckland, New Zealand. As part of a refurbishment project, the church installed Alloyfold Church Chairs in their place of worship.

Onslow airport

Onslow Airport in remote Western Australia, constructed a brand new terminal in 2014. The building design considered the harsh environment of the Pilbara region and Alloyfold was chosen to supply public area waiting seating. 

Skycity Hamilton

Skycity Hamilton in New Zealand, purchased 400 Alloyfold Carlo banquet chairs for their function centre. They also purchased four chair trolleys for easy setup and pack down. The Carlo chairs were ideal because of their easy maneuverability and linking system, meaning they could be used for a range of events.

Emmanuel Baptist church

Emmanuel Baptist in Sydney, Australia, created a multi-purpose centre including a 600 seat multi-level auditorium completed in 2012.  Emmanuel selected Alloyfold's Beethoven auditorium seat for its comfort, colour and elegant lines.  Senior Pastor Ken Lesta said: 

Dreamworld IMAX

In late 2010, Alloyfold supplied and installed 315 Haydn gravity-lift cinema seats for Dreamworld Amusement Park's 3D cinema on Australia's Gold Coast. The robust and hard-wearing features of these chairs were key factors in their selection because the park ran continuous screening sessions throughout each day.

Auckland district court

In 2007, Alloyfold NZ was awarded the contract to install waiting seating and public area seating in the Ministry of Justice court houses nationwide. This contract involved the ongoing supply of 5 and 6 beam mounted Schumann seats to 105 District courts throughout New Zealand. The Schumann seat was supplied with a custom fabric and chrome finish.

Church of the Saviour trust

Alloyfold recently installed 300 Slimline Church Chairs in the Church Of The Saviour in Auckland, New Zealand. These chairs were chosen because of their durability and their ability to be moved and arranged easily.

Queensland theological college

Alloyfold supplied 200 Church Chairs and 120 Serata banquet chairs to Queensland Theological College in Australia. The college chose dark blue fabric to complement their newly refurbished auditorium. The two models of chairs allow the space to be used in multiple ways, for a range of events.

Rolleston college

In 2016, Alloyfold was awarded the contract to deliver retractable theatre seating to four high schools in New Zealand, including the newly constructed Rolleston College, near Christchurch. 

Healesville high school

Alloyfold's popular Mozart venue seat was chosen by Healesville High School in Victoria, Australia because of its durability and size. The comfortable seat also suited the difficult curved layout of the auditorium. The theatre is a high-use venue which made the Mozart Venue seat an ideal choice as it is robust enough to withstand the punishment of any school environment.

Tauranga district court

As part of the New Zealand District Court refurbishment, Alloyfold provided public waiting and courtroom seating for the Tauranga District Court in 2010. 

Copthorne hotel and resort

The Copthorne Hotel and Resort in Paihia, New Zealand, purchased 200 of the Alloyfold Racolta Banquet chair for a number of reasons. The aluminium frame would not rust in salt-air conditions such as the Bay of Islands, and was much lighter than a steel frame. This enables employees to easily move the chairs for different events and occasions creating a flexible, multi-use environment. 

Te Waka Unua school

Alloyfold recently installed an 8-tier, retractable system into Te Waka Unua School., Christchurch, New Zealand. Located in their gymnasium, the modern seating created a flexible, multipurpose space perfect for a range of events and activities. The seating is simple to retract, easy-to-clean and sturdy allowing for the rigours of the gymnasium setting.

Ashgrove Baptist church

Ashgrove Baptist Church, Brisbane, Australia, installed 500 Alloyfold Trilogy chairs in their new-look, re-developed auditorium. 

Showbiz cinemas - Ballarat

Showbiz Cinemas recently opened a new cinema in Ballarat, Australia. Alloyfold supplied and installed more than 490 Alloyfold Rossini rocker seats into the boutique cinema. The luxurious Rossini featured semi-leather upholstery, a coffee table shared between seats and ample legroom. These seats, with their small footprint, gave the cinema a gold class feel and comfort without the traditional space required for a full recline seat.

Waikanae funeral home

Waikanae Funeral Home, in Wellington, chose Alloyfold's Trilogy chair to furnish their new architecturally-designed building. The Trilogy convention chair met the Home's requirements of a  linkable, comfortable seat and gave the Funeral Home the flexibility to use the chairs individually or in rows.

Crossroads church

In 2013 Alloyfold supplied 464 Mozart seats and 176 Church Chairs to Crossroads Church in Palmerston North, New Zealand. After viewing a range of seating from different companies, the church chose Alloyfold's seating for its modern look and high quality. The same fabric was used for both types of chairs creating a stylish look in the auditorium. Alloyfold worked closely with the Architect and Project Manager to create a suitable seating plan which allowed for a sound booth.

Gisborne district court

In 2011, Alloyfold installed the Gisborne District Court with waiting seating as part of the Ministry of Justice seating contract. The job involved providing and installing the Schumann waiting seat with padded, upholstered seats for the court rooms and without upholstery for the public waiting areas.

Windsor cinemas

In 2015, Windsor Cinema in Nedlands, Western Australia, underwent a refurbishment of their cinema complex. Taking a staged approach to the refurbishment, Windsor Cinema chose the Alloyfold Schubert cinema seat for the fit-out of the first theatre. 

Rangiora town hall

The 1920's era Rangiora Town Hall in Canterbury, New Zealand was closed in 2012 for seismic strengthening. As part of this refurbishment, the local council upgraded the seating in the hall and the cinema facility.

Paradiso cinema

Cinema Paradiso in Western Australia is a niche  European-styled cinema complex specialising in art-house, independent and foreign films, and hosting an annual international film festival.  

Cathedral of Praise

A contemporary church with a community focus, the Cathedral of Praise (COP) in Rockhampton, Australia, installed 864 of the Alloyfold Church Chair on Beam seats (fixed and freestanding) in their refurbishment. 

Athenaeum theatre

The heritage-listed Athenaeum Theatre in Lilydale, Victoria built in 1888,  recently underwent a refurbishment. The company contacted Alloyfold with the brief to provide a comfortable, modern seat with a classic look. After an approval process, Alloyfold was commissioned to provide 212 Mozart venue seats.

Musswellbrook cinema

The privately-owned, Muswellbrook Cinema in NSW Australia opened in 2014. The cinema project team worked closely with Alloyfold to choose a combination of Alloyfold's Schubert cinema seats and the Tchaikovsky luxury cinema seats as the fixed cinema seating for the venue. 

Reformed church of Hamilton

Alloyfold installed 350 Enclosed Back Church Chairs and 100 Slimline Church Chairs into the Reformed Church of Hamilton, New Zealand.

Hillview christian school

Hillview Christian School in Christchurch, New Zealand chose Alloyfold's Trilogy chair and Trilogy Beam seating for their new school auditorium. The school completed a large scale  building project in 2016 and required seating that was multipurpose, hard wearing and easy to stack and store.

Bethlehem Baptist church

In 2011 Alloyfold supplied 600 Church chairs to Bethlehem Baptist Church in Tauranga, New Zealand. They chose the Church Chairs with a cutaway back design for extra lumbar support. The chairs matched the modern and minimalist look with natural colours used throughout.

Palm Lake resort - Ballina

Palm Lake Resort franchise is renowned for providing high-quality retirement communities for their residents in Australia. Palm Lake Ballina in NSW, provided their residents with a luxurious movie theatre experience, installing 66 fully upholstered, grey Alloyfold Webern cinema seats with black tray arms.

Oxford town hall

The Oxford Town Hall in Canterbury, New Zealand underwent a refurbishment project in late 2014 with the aim of creating a multipurpose space and flexibility, through seating choices, for the various groups that used the facility.

Twilight cinemas

Twilight Cinemas in Swan Hill, Australia installed the Alloyfold Schubert Cinema Seat for their newly refurbished theatres. The cinema ran regular movie sessions and also targeted the commercial event market for indoor and outdoor cinema events so the owners were looking for a durable, modern cinema seat with a professional look.

Abundant Life church

Abundant Life Church in Christchurch, New Zealand built a brand new worship centre completed in September 2017. Alloyfold supplied 360 Church Chairs for the seating in the main auditorium. The modern, comfortable, padded chairs suited the contemporary space yet gave flexibility to the layout and storage options. 

Riccarton community church

Riccarton Community Church in Christchurch, New Zealand chose Alloyfold seating for its versatility and comfort. 250 Church Chairs were delivered to the church in a grey fabric to match their interior decor.  Riccarton loved the flexibility of being able to stack unnecessary chairs and then easily bring them back into use. The church previously had heavy pews so the individual, linking church seating allowed the church greater versatility to use space for various community groups and small meetings along with  Sunday church services.

Bryndwr chapel

Bryndwr Chapel in Christchurch, New Zealand, refurbished their worship hall in 2009. Alloyfold supplied their Church Chairs for the chapel.

Faith Christian church

In 2012 Alloyfold installed 500 Beethoven seats and 300 Church Chairs into Faith Christian Church, Dandenong, Australia. Senior Minister Matt Heins contacted Alloyfold after sitting on an Alloyfold chair at a conference on the Gold Coast.

Grace Vineyard church

After the devastating Christchurch Earthquake in 2011, Grace Vineyard Church in Christchurch, New Zealand closed their city venue until repairs could be made. Starting all over again meant new seating and the Church's Project Manager Tony Walter, contacted Alloyfold.

Cleveland Baptist Church in Queensland, Australia developed a brand new, purpose built church building in 2008. After going through an approvals process in conjunction with the building interior designer, Cleveland Baptist chose 500 of the Alloyfold standard church chair for their church seating solution.

Palm Lake resort cinema

Palm Lake Resort in Truganina, Melbourne is a luxury lifestyle retirement resort.  In 2012, the Resort began building a cinema for their residents as part of the expansion of their top class facilities.

Reach community church

Reach Community Church in Victoria, Australia embarked on a building project in 2013. Part of the project was to source church seating that was comfortable, flexible and modern in keeping with the interior design and styling of the new building.

Sawtell cinema

Sawtell Cinema in NSW, Australia, installed 180 Effuzi Club cinema seats into their newly refurbished cinema.  The project completed in late 2015, was part of a community project to save the historic 1940's venue.

Nunawading SDA church

Alloyfold recently supplied Nunawading Seventh Day Adventist Church in Victoria, Australia with 325 Church Chairs and 150 Serata Banquet chairs. The church needed two types of seating that looked good together, but was flexible enough to be used in different situations such as functions and events.

Russley retirement village

Russley Retirement Village in Canterbury, New Zealand recently opened their 'Homestead'. This $10m multipurpose facility included a cinema for village residents. Alloyfold's Mojo cinema seat was selected because of its wide profile and comfort. The Mojo fitted well with the modern decor of this newly built, boutique movie theatre.

Designed with an Art Deco theme, Christchurch's boutique shopping emporium, The Tannery, opened its Deluxe Cinemas in May 2016.

Located in scenic Wanaka, New Zealand, Rubys Cinema features 1950's-inspired decor, a glamorous bar and 2 gold class cinemas.

Clyde bistro & cinema

In  2013 Alloyfold installed 42 Tchaikovsky seats into the new Clyde Cinema in beautiful Central Otago, New Zealand. The owner selected leather upholstery in a stunning shade of red and customised the front row of seats to recline for a luxurious experience. The installation was completed within one day and the boutique cinema owner was extremely happy with the warm, luxurious and comfortable cinema.

Whakamax cinemas

Alloyfold worked with Whakamax Cinemas in Whakatane, New Zealand to select and install cinema seating in 2014. The Alloyfold sales team assisted the Whakamax Cinema owners in selecting the best cinema seat to maximise the space and work within the design of the seating plan. 

Intellisys theatre

Intellisys is a company specialising in Home Automation, A/V and Theatre design/implementation based in Whangaparaoa, New Zealand. In 2012 Intellysis set up a demonstration theatre incorporating Alloyfold Tchaikovsky cinema seats with D-Box motion master mechanisms installed.

Everybody's Theatre

Everybody's Theatre in Opunake, New Zealand, is a boutique historic cinema owned and operated by the Opunake community. In 2015 the cinema underwent a full restoration – inside and out – which was completed with the installation of 38 Alloyfold Effuzi Mojo cinema seats upholstered in Blue fabric.

Cinema 3

In late 2011 Alloyfold Cinema seats were installed into Cinema 3, Pukekohe, New Zealand. Cinema 3 is an independently run 3 screen complex featuring the very latest in digital technology. The 3 cinemas are different sizes and feature comfortable Alloyfold cinema seats in different colours.

Yarrawonga golf club cinema

Alloyfold installed 52 Tchaikovsky luxury cinema seats, as well as 11 Scarlitti seats into the Yarrawonga Golf Club cinema.

Hope Community Church in Queensland, Australia, installed Alloyfold Trilogy Church Chairs in their new auditorium as part of their church renovations.

Silky Otter cinema, Wigram

Silky Otter Cinemas has welcomed a new era of cinema, with the opening of the eight-screen Silky Otter Cinema at The Landing in Wigram on Saturday 31 July. And, although it feels good for the team to fling the doors of this passion project open, it’s their partnership with a local social enterprise that has given them an extra boost of that feel-good factor.

The Post Lounge

We recently supplied The Post Lounge, located in Redfern, Sydney, with 43 Effuzi Phatt Cinema Seats in their classy in-house theatre. The Post Lounge chose to customise the seats with grey and turquoise upholstery to complement the colour scheme of the cinema. Providing guests with a luxurious, comfortable viewing experience, the wide, padded Effuzi Phatt seats have met the needs of The Post Lounge. The Alloyfold team was able to work with The Post Lounge to complete the installation on time and within a budget.

Simply Events Ltd Tables

 In 2022, Simply Events Ltd purchased 17 of our rustic Farmhouse folding tables for their events venue. These wooden folding tables enable Simply Events Ltd to curate elegant and rustic-themed events, ensuring guests are provided with a comfortable experience. The dark wood ‘antique’ finish chosen by Simply Events Ltd has added a touch of class to a range of different events held at the venue. The Farmhouse tables also have an added advantage of being foldable which has proven to be very useful for Simply Events Ltd as set-up, pack down and storage are made easy.

Town Hall Cinemas

In 2022 Town Hall Cinemas, located in Rangiora, New Zealand upgraded their ‘Cinema 3’ theatre with 95 Effuzi Club cinema seats. Situated in the Historic Rangiora Town Hall, the theatre upgrade enables Town Hall Cinemas to cater to the cinema enthusiasts of Rangiora and the wider Canterbury region. Our deluxe Effuzi Club cinema seats in black semi-leather have been the perfect chair for this, providing guests with an upscale, streamlined viewing experience. The addition of 4 removable seats on wheels allows the cinema to provide for the accessibility needs of guests. The Alloyfold team was able to work with Town Hall Cinemas to complete the installation on time and within a budget.

St. John's Presbyterian Church foyer

In 2022, we supplied St John’s Presbyterian Church in Rotorua with 100 Nola chairs. These lightweight stacking chairs have proven to be ideal for the church foyer, a multipurpose space that requires seating that is easy to move and stack. Supplied in black, the Nola is easy to wipe down and clean, making it very low maintenance for the variety of spaces it is used in at the church.

Vingard

In 2022 Alloyfold supplied Vingard with 248 Bella evolution chairs and 20 Planet Round tables. These have been used to provide elegant, comfortable seating for Vingard customers at their events. The Bella Evolution has been designed to fold and stack while being lightweight. This makes storage, transport and set-up easy for event companies such as Vingard. The addition of 20 lightweight, non-warping Round 180 tables has proven to be very useful for Vingard, as they are hard-wearing, and easy to clean while also being elegant.

Simply Events Ltd

In 2022 we supplied Simply Events Ltd with 120 Crossback chairs, 100 Bella evolution chairs and 2 Bentwood chairs. Each of these chairs is perfect for an event management company such as Simply Events Ltd as they provide guests with comfortable, elegant seating options. They are all durable, lightweight and stackable, making them easy to set up, pack down and store. Simply Events Ltd has been able to use each of these versatile chairs for many different events and occasions.

Rubber Duck Events Ltd

In early 2023, Rubber Duck events were in need of 100 lightweight, foldable and stackable chairs. We were able to supply them with our popular Bella evolution chairs, the perfect fit for what was needed. The Bella Evolution chairs are great for events and hire companies as they are easy to set up, pack down and store. This has been the case for Rubber Duck events as they have been able to use the versatile chair for many different types of events and occasions. 

Agrodome

In early 2023 Agrodome, located in Rotorua NZ, wanted to update the functions centre within their iconic farmyard theme park. 100 of our Crossback chairs along with 17 Farmhouse tables were the perfect fit for what they needed. The ‘antique’ finishes on both the tables and the chairs create a nice rustic look that goes perfectly with the theme of the venue. The added functions of foldable tables and stackable chairs make set-up and pack-down easy and make the space more versatile.

East Doncaster Secondary College

In late 2022 we supplied East Doncaster Secondary College with 160 of our Trilogy chairs. These lightweight, stackable chairs are perfect for schools as they are easy to move and store if needed. The addition of a Trilogy trolley, also purchased by East Doncaster Secondary College makes the set-up and pack-down process even easier as they can move up to 10 chairs at a time, safely. East Doncaster Secondary College chose grey resin with a combination of black, orange and yellow upholstery to fit perfectly with the school colours. The chairs have been able to be used in a versatile way at the school, in the classroom with desks and in assemblies as they have an integrated linking system.

St. John's Presbyterian Church auditorium

In 2020 we supplied St John’s Presbyterian Church in Rotorua with 300 Church chairs. Like many churches, St John’s Presbyterian wanted to upgrade their older-styled church chairs for something more comfortable. Customised with light grey upholstery, our church chairs have made the auditorium space both comfortable and modern. Additionally, the lightweight Church chairs have been designed to stack and link easily, making the St John’s Presbyterian auditorium a versatile, multipurpose space. 

Wakatipu High School

Due to the rapid growth of the Queenstown region, the newly constructed high school reached full capacity only three years after opening. This lead to an extension project with Southbase construction, which included a new double-court gym.

Onewa Christian Community

In 2022 we supplied St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Birkenhead, Auckland with 100 Church chairs. Like many churches, St Andrew’s Presbyterian wanted to upgrade their older-styled church pews for something more versatile. Multiple churches and community groups utilize the auditorium, making effective, moveable seats a high priority. Customised with blue upholstery, our church chairs have made the beautiful church a comfortable, multipurpose space.

Adelaide Town Hall

In 2023 we supplied Adelaide Town Hall with 300 Chiavari duratech chairs in gold. The spectacular Adelaide Town Hall hosts a range of events from weddings and concerts to corporate events. Because of this, our Chiavari duratech chairs were the perfect seating solution for Adelaide Town Hall, providing classy seating that is lightweight, durable and stackable. The Adelaide Town Hall utilises white cushions with their Chiavari duratech chairs ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for their guests.

Clutha District Community Centre (Te Pou Ō Mata-Au)

In 2023 we installed a state-of-the-art retractable Axor™ retractable seating system in the newly built Te Pou Ō Mata-Au - Clutha District Community Centre.  

The Arts Centre Christchurch

In 2023 we supplied the Christchurch Arts Center with 5 Tip and Roll stadium seats. The Arts Centre uses these tiered seats in their versatile studio space as they are easily moveable. This project was unique in that our Tip and Roll seats are usually utilised in stadiums and school halls, however, our customisation capabilities allowed us to upholster the seats, allowing them to be used in a studio environment.

Hope Presbyterian Rolleston

In late 2023 we supplied Hope Presbyterian Rolleston with 470 Nova chairs for the auditorium in their new building. The modern, state-of-the-art church was looking for a versatile stylish seat to use for their services and various functions. Combining durability, comfort, and contemporary style, the Nova stackable conference chair fit all of the requirements for this project.

Gateway Community Church

In 2024 we supplied Gateway Community Church in Perth with 140 Church chairs. Like many churches, Gateway Community Church wanted to upgrade their older-styled church chairs for something more comfortable. Customised with dark grey upholstery, our church chairs have made the auditorium space both comfortable and modern. Additionally, the church decided to add our Scotchguard option, ensuring ease of maintenance. The linking and stacking ability of our church chairs have made Gateway Community Church a versatile, multipurpose space.

Palm Lake Resort Forster Lakes

In 2022 we supplied 68 of our Webern cinema seats to the Palm Lake Resort in Forster Lakes. The Palm Lake Resort franchise have enjoyed using our upscale cinema seats in several other locations, so choosing us again was a no brainer for them.

Toowong Uniting Church

In 2023 we supplied Toowong Uniting Church in Brisbane with 250 Church chairs. Like many churches, Toowong Uniting Church was looking for a versatile seating option that is lightweight and stackable. Our Church chairs were the perfect fit.

King's Christian College

In 2019 we supplied King's Christian College with 800 of our Trilogy chairs. They needed a lightweight, stackable and linkable chair for their auditorium space and our Trilogy chairs were the perfect fit.

Sale Cinema

In 2022 we supplied Sale Cinema with 212 Effuzi Mojo cinema seats and 57 Schubert cinema seats for their Cinema 3. The cinema chose to customize the seats in Wine Red Leather to match their bold interior aesthetic. Both the Effuzi Mojo and Schubert seats were selected, providing two different seating options for patrons. Both options provide guests with a comfortable viewing experience while allowing the cinema to maximize on space.

Hagley College

In 2022, we supplied and installed 209 Debussy seats for Hagley College - Te Puna Wai o Waipapa in Christchurch, New Zealand. Hagley College underwent a major re-development project that included several new buildings and infrastructure upgrades. As part of this project, Hagley College built a new auditorium space. 

Whangarei Boys High School

In 2022, we supplied and installed 577 Debussy seats for the Whangarei Boys High School theatre and auditorium space. The Debussy seats accompany 714 Hagen seats which we supplied for the school in 2021. Combining our fixed Debussy seats along with the moveable, stackable Hagen seats, make the space highly versatile. The school now uses the facility to host a range of events, from community gatherings, concerts, performances/ productions, to lectures and conferences.

Stretch Tents Southland

In 2024 we supplied Stretch Tents Southland with 162 Bella evolution chairs. The chairs were selected in white to match the aesthetic of many of the company's wedding setups. Being an expanding hire and rental company, Stretch Tents Southland needed more seating for their events. Our Bella evolution chair has been the perfect choice for Stretch Tents Southland as they're lightweight, foldable and stackable meaning the set up and pack down of the many events they host is super easy!

Bowls Tauranga South

In 2024 we supplied 150 Carlo seats for Bowls Tauranga South. With over 200 members the club hosts many different events including competitions, corporate functions and coaching clinics. For their upcoming centenary later in the year, the club decided to upgrade the seats in the clubhouse. 

Nativity Church Blenheim

In 2024 we supplied Nativity Church Blenheim with 190 Trilogy seats along with 30 Folding Tables. The Church chose to customise the Trilogy chairs with black upholstery and seat back covers. These accompany 18 XL Trestle Tables and 12 Planet Round Tables along with an XL Trolley and a Round Table trolley. With each of these products, the church is well equipped to hold several different types of events in their space, from church services to elegant gala events. Set up and pack down is made easy with linking, stackable chairs, lightweight, folding tables and trolleys to transport the tables when needed.

Christchurch Netball Centre

In 2024 we supplied Christchurch Netball Centre with 16 of our 3-tier Tip and Roll seats along with 60 Alloyfold A2 chairs, 4 XL180 Tables and 4 XL240 Tables. Christchurch Netball Centre chose to customise the seats in black and red to match their club colours. 

Fresh Christian Fellowship

We had the pleasure of supplying Fresh Christian Fellowship Church with 100 Church Chairs. The church had been using plastic outdoor chairs for 9 years, so when the opportunity came, they jumped at the chance to upgrade. The church was looking for comfortable, solid chairs that would be a long-term solution and our Church Chairs were exactly what they needed. They chose to customise the Church Chair with Khaki upholstery and Matte Black frames to match the aesthetic of their church. 

St Andrews College Theatre

In 2024 we supplied St Andrew's College with 266 Viva seats. The school customised the seats with black upholstery and wood seat backs to match the interior of the auditorium. 

Rydges Rotorua

In 2024 we supplied Rydges Rotorua with 450 Carlo banquet seats for the conference and event rooms. The seats are used for conferences in their sophisticated conference centre and are also used for banquets and events. Rydges Rotorua chose to customise the Carlo in charcoal upholstery and black frames. This gives the chairs an understated, classy look that perfectly accompanies the decor at Rydges Rotorua. 

Concordia Lutheran College

In 2022 Concordia Lutheran College was looking to upgrade their Lecture Theatre seating as part of their 75 anniversary celebrations. According to the college, "The Lecture Theatre at our Secondary Campus provides an important community space for myriad activities and events, from daily classes to inspiring lectures from external presenters, music recitals and community events,". After several years of using old, pew-style seating, the school chose to refurbish their theatre, creating a 'modern and functional facility'. 

Red Door Community Church

In 2024 we supplied Red Door Community Church with 400 Church Chairs for their church auditorium. 10 of these were Church Chairs with Arms to provide extra support for congregation members who need it. The Church chose to customise their chairs in Black Marble upholstery to match the interior aesthetic. Red Door Community Church also chose to purchase 2 Church Chair Trolleys to ensure set up and pack down for their many events is quick and easy.

Christchurch Art Gallery

After originally opening in 2003 and serving as the Civil Defense headquarters during the 2010 and 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes, the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū has played many different roles for the Christchurch community. The gallery hosts a range of events including weddings, conferences and corporate functions.

Plainland Dental

In 2024 we supplied Plainland Dental with 20 of our Slimline Church chairs. The chairs are used in the waiting room of the dental clinic, providing patrons with a supportive, comfortable place to wait for the appointments. The clinic chose to customise their chairs with Black upholstery and frames to match the aesthetic of their decor. The linking feature of our Slimline Church Chair allows Plainland Dental to keep the chairs straight and in line with each other. 

Blockhouse Bay Community Church

Blockhouse Bay Community Church has been a part of their community for over 50 years. They've hosted many events over the years, including their weekly services and meetings. Their church building is an integral part of the organisation, and having a space to host their many events is very important to the community. With this in mind, the church wanted to upgrade their seats from the older, pew-style seats they had used for many years.

Mahurangi Presbyterian Church

Since its establishment in 1854, Mahurangi Presbyterian Church has been an integral part of its community. Over the years, the church has continued to grow and by 2014 it became evident that they would need a larger space. After purchasing a block of land, the building was completed in 2023 and the congregation was ready to move into their brand-new facility. To furnish their new space, Mahurangi Presbyterian Church turned to Alloyfold for seating.

Pittwater Anglican Church - Mona Vale

Pittwater Anglican Church, located in Mona Vale, was looking to upgrade some of their older pew-style seating in order to use their chapel as a multipurpose space. After exploring several options, the Church decided on our Church Chair, customised in Blue upholstery. The chairs complement the church's section of wooden pews, adding a modern take to the church's traditional interior.

Wagga Church of Christ

In 2024 we provided Wagga Church of Christ with 120 Church Chairs. The church, based in Tuvey Park, NSW, was looking for comfortable, versatile seating for their church hall. After looking at a few different options, the church chose our Church Chairs customised in Royal Blue Rhombus upholstery and Silvervein frames. They chairs add a pop of colour to the hall while remaining understated.

Narellan Anglican Church

Narellan Anglican Church, based in western Sydney has been a pillar of its community since 2001. With a growing parish of over 300 people, the church was looking to upgrade its older event-style seating with a more supportive, comfortable solution.

Port Macquarie Observatory

In 2024 Port Macquarie Observatory renovated it's original observatory building. As part of their upgrade, the Port Macquarie Astronomical Association chose to update their seating. 50 of our Church Chairs were chosen and customised in Blue upholstery to match the decor of the observatory. Our Alloyfold team worked alongside the association to ensure their needs were met on time and within their budget.

Urgent Care Franklin

In 2024, we had the pleasure of working with Urgent Care in Franklin, Pukekohe, to find a seating solution for their waiting room. Urgent Care chose to work with us on this project because they liked the quality of our products and had the Schumann waiting seat in mind as the perfect seating solution. The clinic was looking for high-quality, supportive seating that was comfortable and looked good while staying within their budget.

St Lukes Tauranga

After using school chairs for several years, in 2024 St Luke's Tauranga decided to purchase their own church seating. The church has been a key part of the local Tauranga community for many years and felt it was time to upgrade their seating to ensure comfort and ease of use for the congragation.

Spotswood Sports Club

Spotswood Sports Club, based in Melbourne Australia, is the home of Spotswood Cricket Club & Spotswood Football Netball Club, making it a real hub of sporting activity in the Melbourne area.

Located on the coast, Orewa Sands Retirement Living is an upscale lifestyle village with state-of-the-art facilities including a boutique cinema.

Our Lady Of Dolours Catholic Church

In 2024, Alloyfold had the privilege of assisting Our Lady of Dolours Catholic Church in Chatswood, NSW, with an important upgrade to their seating. We provided 110 sleek, European-designed Hagen Church Chairs and a custom-built Banquet Trolley, tailored to meet the church's unique needs.

ACT Law Courts

In 2024, Alloyfold partnered with Programmed Facilities Management to provide seating for the ACT Law Courts in Canberra as part of a refurbishment project. The courts required a durable, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing seating solution for their children’s court waiting area, and Alloyfold’s Schumann 4-seater was the perfect fit.

Hebron Chinese Alliance Church

In 2024, Hebron Chinese Alliance Church in Westmead, NSW, worked with Alloyfold to upgrade their seating, selecting 160 Church Chairs to replace their traditional pews. The church sought a solution that combined flexibility, comfort, and modern design to accommodate their growing congregation.

Gold Laundromat

In 2024, Alloyfold was selected to provide seating for Gold Laundromat in Invercargill, New Zealand, as part of a new build project. The laundromat required a durable and aesthetically pleasing seating solution for their customer waiting area, and after considering various options, they chose Alloyfold’s Schumann waiting seats for their modern design and long-lasting performance.

Pyes Pa Memorial Park & Chapel

Alloyfold played a significant role in enhancing the seating arrangements at Pyes Pa Memorial Park & Chapel, offering a seamless upgrade to their venue. The park, known for its tranquil and respectful setting, opted to replace traditional pews with more flexible, modern seating. This upgrade had been in the planning stages since late 2021, with a clear goal of improving comfort and aesthetics for the families and visitors who frequent the memorial chapel.

Connect Church

In 2024, Connect Church Kapiti in Paraparaumu, New Zealand, partnered with Alloyfold to upgrade their seating, transforming both their main auditorium and an additional space. The church sought a modern, flexible solution that would align with their vibrant atmosphere while providing comfort for a variety of events.

Dalby Christian Family Church

In 2024, Dalby Christian Family Church in Dalby, Queensland, partnered with Alloyfold to upgrade their seating, enhancing both comfort and flexibility for their growing congregation. Canberra Baptist Church

In 2024, Canberra Baptist Church in Canberra, ACT, partnered with Alloyfold to upgrade their seating, creating a more comfortable and versatile environment for their expanding congregation. Northland Hockey Association

Alloyfold played a pivotal role in the refurbishment of Hockey Northland’s facility, supplying 52 Nova Chairs along with trolleys to create a tailored seating solution. This project involved relocating a grandstand from Kensington Racecourse, enhancing the facility with an indoor training center and seminar room under the grandstand.

Caccia Birch House

Caccia Birch House, a historic venue in Palmerston North, sought to upgrade its furniture to improve the comfort, durability, and efficiency of the events held within its scenic grounds. John Knox Presbyterian Church
